Between $50 and $150, and the clock decides most of it. Eight formats sit on the head spa menu: $50 buys 30 minutes, $78 buys 45, $90 buys 60, $100 buys either of the two 60-minute scalp rituals, $120 buys 75, and the two longest treatments are $150 for 90 minutes. Nothing on the list carries a consultation fee on top.
What $50 gets you
The 30-minute TCM Head Aromatherapy, which is the one format that never wets your hair. Scalp oil, pressure work and aroma on a dry scalp, finished in half an hour, so it fits a lunch break or a day when you have to be somewhere at two. Everything else on the menu includes the shampoo wash.
What $78 and $90 get you
The two most common first bookings. The 45-minute Classic Head Spa at $78 runs the full sequence — scalp camera, double shampoo, scalp care, shoulder massage, warm-water rinse, blow-dry. The Signature costs $90, exfoliates the scalp as well as cleansing it, and gives the neck and shoulders a longer turn across its 60 minutes. That extra $12 is buying 15 minutes and one more stage.
What $100 to $150 gets you
Treatments built for a particular scalp. Both 60-minute rituals are $100 — the Chinese Herb Scalp Ritual for oily, buildup-prone roots, the Signature Ginger Scalp Ritual for a scalp that feels tight.
At $120 the 75-minute Aura Scalp Treatment adds a mini facial and a singing bowl, and it is the service booked most often here. The two 90-minute treatments are $150 each: one pairs hot steam with a Milbon bonding treatment for hair that color and heat have worked over hard, the other spends the time on a deeper cleanse and an essence infusion. Each head spa opens with that analysis — a camera magnifies a patch of your scalp onto a monitor and you look at it with your therapist before any product is chosen — and it carries no separate charge. Does the price include the blow-dry?
Yes, on every format from 45 minutes up. You leave with dry hair, which is what makes a 6 PM booking in February workable at all. Tea and refreshments come with the appointment, and there is a fireplace lounge to sit in before and after, which earns its keep in a town that takes 62 inches of rain a year.

What makes one head spa cost more than another?
Three things, and the first moves the number far harder than the other two.
- Length. Most of the $100 spread between the shortest treatment and the longest is time. An hour costs $40 more than half an hour, and those extra minutes go into the scalp — a longer massage, a second cleanse, a scalp treatment left on for as long as it needs.
- A second treatment attached. Adding a facial or a massage is what takes a booking to $120 and up. The seven packages are built around that pairing, and three of them price below two separate appointments.
- The product line. Two 60-minute formats cost $100 against the Signature's $90 because the herbal and ginger rituals use different preparations — the same hour, $10 apart. The $150 Milbon treatment buys both things at once: 30 minutes more than the Signature, plus a bonding product and hot steam aimed at hair that bleach and heat have worn down.
The studio is open 9 AM to 8 PM every day of the week, so a 90-minute booking fits a Tuesday evening as easily as a Sunday morning.

Drive west and the band drops. Bellevue is 11.8 miles from the door and Redmond 14.3, and studios there and in Kirkland that do head spa as their main work list $68 to $88 for an hour, which puts our $90 at the top of that range; their 90-minute prices run $108 to $135 against our $150. What the $90 buys in Issaquah is the scan at the start and the blow-dry at the end, with no line on the bill for either.
The studio is a converted house on a tree-lined stretch of E Sunset Way, about a third of a mile east of the Front Street shops, a 7 to 9 minute walk on the flat. Is a package cheaper than booking two treatments?
For three of the seven, yes. The Gua Sha Facial & Head Spa is $160 for 90 minutes, where the same 30-minute facial and 60-minute head spa booked apart come to $170. Neck & Shoulder Massage + Head Spa is $140 against $150 separately, for the same 30 minutes of shoulder work and the same full hour of scalp.
The Midweek Healing Package is the widest gap on the menu. Three 30-minute stages — shoulders, then a facial, then a head spa — for $148, where the nearest three individual bookings add up to $190. The remaining four pair lengths the main menu does not sell on their own, so there is no clean sum to compare them against.

What does a head spa cost over a year?
About $700 on the usual four-to-six-week interval. At six weeks that is nine visits a year, which comes to $702 on the 45-minute Classic and $810 on the 60-minute Signature. At four-week intervals — thirteen visits — the Classic runs $1,014.
